A Managing Director required in the heart of Pembrokeshire

We offer you the exciting opportunity to lead and shape a well-established not-for-profit organisation in the Housing and Homeless sector.

Pembrokeshire Care Society is based in Haverfordwest, the County Town of beautiful Pembrokeshire.  We are a respected professional organisation offering a diverse range of services designed to assist all homeless and at risk of homeless persons.  We provide advice, assistance and advocacy to enable clients to secure safe and affordable accommodation.

You will have a background in our Sector at senior level.  You will be responsible for preparing policy and strategy for the Trustees, you will lead and develop a team of 24 highly skilled and positive colleagues.  With excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you will bring all contributors together to manage contractual performance within set budgets.  Liaising with partner organisations this position offers the opportunity to represent the organisation locally and nationally.

With an initial salary of £36,000 there is an excellent benefits package including flexitime, contributory pension and 25 days annual leave.

Advice and Bond Joint Co-ordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join an established team in the Housing and Homeless Sector.  Pembrokeshire Care Society works directly with statutory groups in the county and other 3rd sector organisations, to alleviate those who are homeless or facing homelessness.

This is a full-time permanent post required for 37 hours per week, subject to a six-months probationary period.

Annual leave entitlement 25 days plus Bank Holidays

Starting salary £21,741.20  per annum

The key role of Joint Coordinator includes but is not limited to:

  • Support Managing Director and existing senior coordinator with the continuous monitoring and evaluation of statistics and records for Welsh Government, Local Authority, Charities Commission and PCS Governing Committee.
  • Ensure management and compliance of all service level agreements and collaborative working partnerships
  • Manage the duties of the scheme staff, including conducting formal and informal supervisions, appraisals and monitor absences.
  • Develop and deliver scheme training for all workers across the organisation
  • Arrange and attend meetings internally and externally to promote the services of the organisation.
  • Mediating and supporting landlords who work with PCS and their clients. Including visits to properties pre and post tenancy commencement.
  • Assist with the management of low-level debt advisory service pending authorisation by Financial Conduct Authority

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES

  • Relevant Level 5 Management qualification or expectancy to work towards attaining while in post
  • Clean Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and non-verbally, to ensure that all service users and stakeholders are dealt with in a clear and articulate manner.
  • Effective administration and organisational skills
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • DBS checks will be completed on the successful candidate

DESIREABLE COMPETENCIES

  • Educated to Degree or similar standard
  • Ability to speak Welsh
  • Experience of staff management
  • Knowledge of the housing and homeless sector
  • Knowledge of managing low level debt
  • Knowledge of welfare benefits system
